- 1/2 sweet red vermouth
- 1/2 Campari
- 1/2 house gin
- lemon twist (garnish)
Mixing Method: Stir
- Scoop a mixing glass 3/4 full with ice.
- Add all ingredients except the garnish.
- Stir then strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
This is a very popular before dinner drink. Many guests like their Negroni on ice. Ask them if they want it straight up or on the rocks. If stirring, be sure to stir the cocktail for at least 20-30 seconds.
Rub the rim of the glass with the lemon rind before dropping it into the finished cocktail. This will give a nice citrus aroma and pleasant bitterness, that’s noticeable with every sip. If you love bitters, try it with a dash or two of Angostura Orange Bitters.
